Today and yesterday I went to the food bank and it was so super fun! I got to load boxes with food and help people load and the first day we got 14 pallets (40 boxes a pallet ... [that's 560 - 30 lb boxes]) done, and today we did 22 pallets!! It’s really awesome, and there’s an insanely cool machine that tapes the boxes shut for us! The trip is going amazing as well. The beach is absolutely gorgeous and the weather is exactly the same. It is so pretty and green here! The food is fantastic as well and every day I’m excited to see what we eat. Worship is so amazing and spiritual, and last night we sang like all my favorite songs. Everything we’ve done is just another adventure (A-D-VEN-TUR-EEEEEEE!!!!) and the smalls groups are amazing. I expected SUPER TOTAL AMAZING FUN =] and I am pretty sure that the expectation is going to continue to be fulfilled. It’s amazing so far and Im sure that wont change =].
Hey, what’s up, parent. Today we had a great day of shopping. It started off like a normal everyday summer trip morning with Pastor belting his heart out “Rise; shine; Give God the glory ... Rise; shine; give God the glory, Children of the Lord.” After we all rolled up our sleeping bags and got dressed to work. We went out to read our passages in the Bible and fill out our booklets. Then we came to the gym for another amazing meal from the amazing 5-star cooks we have. After breakfast we all went out to work; which is so amazing to be able to help the people of the community and see all of our progress. We all then met back at the church for lunch and showers.
Today the boys and girls had a competition on who could take the quickest shower and, of course, the girls cheated and won. When everyone was ready we were told where we were going; to the mall ... which by the way was a huge hit for all the girls and some of our questionable guys. We all arrived at the mall and got into our groups of friends and went shopping. The mall we went to is like 3 Desert Ridges wrapped in to one.
We all got back to the church about 6:00. When we all got here we all sat down to hear what was for dinner. And tonight we are having Mexican food. For the rest of the night, seems to be pretty normal but we can never be to sure with the way Neil, Amy, and Pastor work. Well that’s all for now. We all love you and are having an amazing time.
